A class web site could be useful for many reasons. You can display student work-art, writings, test scores, or other achievements. A web site could also be used for communication between the teacher and students as well as student-student and teacher to parent. Assignments could be posted like a homework sheet for the students to access at any time to see what the current or next assignment is. This is just another way to utilize a web-based instructional method.

Your assignment for these lessons is to create your own class web page using Geocities. Sign up and use the template of your choice. Put in the aspects and sections of the page that you would like to see included in your class web page. Remember that you can utilize your class web page as an extension of your classroom with access to lessons, projects, communication tools between teachers and students or parents, announcing class events and more.
