Introduction |
HyperStudio is multimedia authoring program that allows the incorporation of sound, video, animations, and graphics into a stack which is made of cards. Each card is like a page in a book. You can create lessons, presentations, and quizzes can also be used with your students to create projects, presentations, and e-portfolios to showcase their skills and knowledge.

Tutorial Features |
| Each unit will provide textual intructions along with screen capture images and a video of the procedure that will visually guide you through the process for that part of the lesson. |
| This tutorial provides links to practice sessions to "try out" the skills to be learned in each lesson which are completed using the HyperStudio software. The practice stack created in HyperStudio will get you started with a hands-on experience to put these skills into action. |
Unit quizzes will give you an end of the unit evalution of your progress as you complete the unit. You can access the unit quizzes by clicking on the Quizzes button. There is a "Back" button at the bottom of each Unit Quiz to come back to the Quizzes page, then you can navigate to the next lesson or unit.

| The HELP DESK has links to the GLOSSARY page that included meanings of terms specific to HyperStudio and a few other technology-based words, and the SAMPLE STACKS page that will give you an idea of how HyperStudio can be utilized in the educational setting for teachers and students. Under "Symbols to Know" you will see graphic images to watch for throughout the tutorial and/or practice stacks. |
The RESOURCES link will send you to a collection of sources that were created for and by teachers or teacher-related organizations where you can find more help and support to further the integration of technology rich teaching practices. There are also links to favorite teacher-related sites with software to help you create materials for lessons and other projects or other technology-related help.

| The DOWNLOADS page has links to download software you may need for this tutorial. There is a link for the trial version of HyperStudio, a free plug-in to "view" any stacks made in HyperStudio, and another site where you can purchase a copy of HyperStudio and other educationally priced software. You can find links to WIndows Media Player, Quicktime, and other upgrades for Flash or Windows. |

You can navigate within this tutorial by using the navigational menu provided throughout the tutorial. The side menu will take you to the introductory page for each unit and the first page of each lesson within that unit. There are various links throughout the tutorial to lesson materials, videos, and practice sessions.
