HyperStudio is a multimedia authoring tool that has been used by educators as an educational and instructional tool to help their students learn and produce creative projects and materials to exhibit knowledge and skills.
Hyperstudio is a multimedia authoring tool which can change an ordinary lesson or assignment into an interactive presentation of a project or assignment by adding sound, graphics, and text and to blend it together using hypertext. Teachers can use this tool to create instructional materials to help students learn and become producers of information rather than the recipients. In order to use this tool, teachers would benefit from learning how to how the program works and/or being able to create materials themselves.
HyperStudio was founded by a classroom teacher in 1978 and was developed by Robert Wagner Publishing becoming a software system that would help to emphasize technology as a personal creative tool for the educators themselves and their students. Teachers can foster a motivating and creative learning environment where the possibilities are endless.
